The Christian Tabernacle


The Christian Tabernacle was one of the first places Ladoga teams played basketball. The boys and girls both played here when the weather got too cold to practice outside.

The present gymnasium was built in 1941


The present gymnasium was built in 1941 and was used until 1971. It now houses the Ladoga Elementary School Canners.

The New building


When the new building was built in 1917-18, there was a gymnasium in the basement.

The Town Hall


The Green and Gold also played upstairs over the Town Hall

They played basketball upstairs at the Old Ladoga Normal


The Old Ladoga Normal was used as a high school in the early to late teens.

The YMCA where the first teams in Montgomery County played


This is the YMCA armory on the corner of Main and Washington in Crawfordsville where the first game of basketball outside the state of Massachusetts was played.

Where they ate our dust


The Ladoga Tabernacle had a dirt floor which prompted the teams of the early years to say, "This is where they ate our dust."

When the weather got cold both the boys and girls teams moved from their outside facility behind the Methodist Church to the Christian Tabernacle which was just east of the present Christian Church.

The Old Normal


The Old Normal was used as a training school for many teachers in Montgomery County then as the high school for Ladoga students.

The Canning Factory


The gymnasium was built in 1941 and is still in use by the Ladoga Canners of the elementary school.

This building was used at the High School building for several years.
