Class of 1967 with the schools in the background
Basketball Team 1966-67
The 1966-67 team was led in scoring by Jim Harshbarger (#23). Jim scored 630 points in his two year career (7th on the list). He blistered the nets for 471 his senior year which placed him third on the single season chart. He had a high game of 34 that year which was the 4th highest in Canner history.

Basketball Team 1970-71
This is the last Canner basketball team that represented the proud LHS tradition before consolidation. Paul Houston (#41) was the leading scorer. He scored 342 points his senior year to place him 5th on the all-time single season scoring list. The Canners were 5-16 that year under Coach Scott Griffey. They finished the last 35 years of the modern era with a record of 382-366 for a winning pct. of .510 placing them 6th in the County behind Darlington, Crawfordsville, New Ross, Linden, and Waveland.
Basketball Team 1969-70
Dave Williamson (#23 in the picture) ended a great two year varsity career by scoring 483 points which is the single season scoring record for Canner basketball. He finished the year with an average of 23.0 per game and had a high game of 35 points (third on the list) against Crawfordsville. His 760 points places him 4th on the career scoring list.

Basketball Team and cheerleaders 1967-68
The Canners were 7-13 in 1967-68, Coach Max Price's 5th and last year. The 6 seniors were Dave Rhoads, Dave Wilson, Kenny Bishop, Carl Cox, and Steve Williamson. Williamson led the Canners in scoring that year with 204 points and a high game of 22 against Granville Wells. He finished his three year career on the varsity with 436 points. Dave Rhoads scored 172 points that year and Kenny Bishop chipped in with 160. The Canners lost to a great Darlington team in the opening game of the County Tourney 91-60 and the first game of the sectional to Linden 72-64.
Basketball Team 1963-64
Tom Todd (#53 in the picture) ended a brilliant career in 1964, 5th on the career scoring list with 668 points for a 12.1 average. Tom scored 475 points his senior year to finish second on the single season scoring list. He had an average of 20.7 per game with a high game of 33 against Dover. Tom is #53 waiting for the rebound in the picture at left.
