Ed Fendley led the Canners in scoring two straight seasons. In 1941-42, he scored 195 points and in 1942-43, he scored 213 points. He finished his career with 461 points. The Canners were sailing along with an 18-5 record in the 1942-43 season until it was discovered that one of the players was overage.
They had to forfeit the first 19 games and ended up 6-19.
